"Good Company for the Journey"

A Reflection on the Freshmen Retreat Experience…..

“The Freshman Retreat was a powerful experience of true community and the presence of Christ in everyday life. We had the opportunity to meet fellow classmates, to share faith, and to just relax and take a break from the business of everyday life. We broke open the Word, and celebrated the healing mercy of God. In ordinary, natural elements, and in the presence of a faithful community the presence of God was undeniably strong. Sunday morning we gathered to share Eucharist, no longer as strangers, but as friends. Guided by the amazing Spiritan Campus Ministry staff and two extremely dedicated upperclassman leaders the retreat was a great success and an experience in which bonds of community were formed and strengthened.” – Alex Brennsteiner
